My TV curse

Remember this post. Two of my favorite shows this past season have been axed and won't be returning. The NBC shows, Teachers and Conviction, won't be coming back. That sucks.

Well hopefully there will be some more great shows later this year. Who am I kidding? I don't have time for television.

Musings on my birthday

Coming soon are some thoughts on my birthday from Monday. Props to my friends who made it a great one this year (much better than the Shreveport debacle last year).

You can also look forward to my review of a local restaurant that our dinner club is visiting Thursday.

Stay tuned.

Go Yanks

The Rangers and the Yankees have been dueling it out in the Bronx and the first night was not so promising. Then it got great. The Rangers handed the Yankees the second game. Thanks Frontburner for sharing someone else's visual aid, and tonight more great news for Yankees fans like myself. Keep up the good work boys.

Back to school

Even though I have barely recovered from the last semester, I always loving starting a new set of classes. The newness, however, is like any other shiny new thing - the love only lasts for a little while. This summer is going to be a mess but it will be a short one. So let her rip.

In the mean time, I intend to keep blogging - hard.

Enjoying my break from school

Right now I'm on my break from school and I'm loving it. My birthday is coming up and the weather has been great so I've been going out, catching up with friends and celebrating the anniversary of my birth. By the way if you can scam your friends into celebrating your birthday for 10 days then you should go for it!

I realize that I have less than a week before school starts again. This really makes me sad because I realize that I will have tons to do, and life will be crazy again. But until then, laissez les bons temps rouler.

Aside from school, I'm also planning my trip to Washington, DC later this month, my vacation to NYC for the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS fundraiser, and a trip to the Valley to visit my family and friend Desire. I'm really excited about the next few months.

Things I like right now

Since I'm in between semesters right now, I've had a chance to catch up on TV shows and I have some new favorites. I'll let you figure out why I love them!

Fox's
The Loop is hilarious. It is really funny. Bret Harrison cracks me up and his assistant Darcy (Joy Osmanski) is hilarious too. I hope they renew it for next season. (Photo from Zap2it.com)

NBC's Teachers is greatness. Teachers who drink at school, never teach and are really cool (with a few exceptions) equals great TV. My school was nothing like this one. I love Justin Bartha (Jeff) (Photo from Zap2it.com)

Conviction on NBC is great. It is full of great actors, lots of drama and it takes place in NYC (one of my favorite places). It also has Stephanie March (whom I love). Anson Mount (photo from Zap2it.com) is also in it. I love (most) lawyer shows.

Fighting a potential addiction

Everyone around me knows about my gambling addiction. Speaking of...it is about time that I go visit Shreveport again (more on that later). I also like to spend money on nice restaurants (more about that later too).

Remember my last post talked about setting up a MySpace page for our high school reunion. Well, I have been fighting tooth and nail to not get sucked into the MySpace world. This Wednesday, I went out and met a cool girl and her crazy friend, and they tracked me down on MySpace. BTW, what up Latoya? That is the first time that's ever happened to me.

Slowly my friends have been sending me requests to be my friends on my MySpace (don't laugh I'm working on making it better). It has been kinda fun to check out all the people online but I really don't want to get addicted. It is becoming harder and harder though. I really don't want to spend hours upon hours looking up random people in Ohio and asking them if I can be their friend. It seems sad to me. So I promise not to log in to MySpace for the rest of the week. It is my silent protest.

Officially, my boycott starts after I check if Kidd Kraddick added me as his friend. I hope he does.
