Justin Timberlake
Last night, I went to the Justin Timberlake concert. I remember most of it too since there were many adult beverages before and after. A few random thoughts follow.
1. The music - Justin can sing. He has a great voice and his music is still entertaining and fun to hear. I like his new CD but it isn't my favorite. The concert included songs from Justified. He is also a solid musician, playing the guitar and piano during the show.
2. The stage - Our seats were way up in the AAC. You could tell Justin was on the stage (which was set up as theater in the round) but that was about it. The stage included some curtains that came up and down throughout the concert which had him projected on them. They managed to get in the way more than help. There were no jumbo monitors on. Those of us in the 300s section were screwed.
3. The opening act - PINK! She was good. She has blonde hair now. She wore a bathing suit (interesting).
4. The crowd - RANDOM! Some little kids but mostly kids in their late teens, college kids, ladies my age, and random guys. I went with Patrick, Jess, and Dan (a really nice guy we met this weekend, I'll tell you later). We laughed at lots of people but I'm sure that laughed at our randomness too.
5. The after-party - I went to an after-party but not an official one. Justin wasn't there. Nobody related to Justin was there. I showed everyone at the bar my concert ticket.
Overall, the night was fun. I loved the concert. I had a great time with my pals and this morning I woke up with a major headache! Good times...
