Men with earrings

I've been watching the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric pretty much everyday. Today Ed Bradley teased a 60 Minutes report from this weekend about the Duke rape case. I'm sure the story will represent solid journalism, but I was distracted by the fact that he had a loop earring on his left ear. It really threw me off. I think older men with earrings are sad but it seemed worse to me that this man who is a fairly well-respected journalist looked silly. He looked like a pirate.

Apparently he has had it for a long time. Harrison Ford (another man with a silly earring) even has said that Ed Bradley inspired him to get an earring. I couldn't find a picture on the internet to show you but it really does look ridiculous. I think there should be a rule about this sort of thing. Maybe we can make it one of the 'Man Laws.'
